Piano Concerto Concert

Happening in the George Weston Recital Hall

In this concert featuring three generations of pianists, professor James Anagnoson, Dean of RCM’s Glenn Gould School, performs together with his former student, Li Wang, Faculty of RCM’s Glenn Gould School and Taylor Academy, and 9 of Li Wang’s international and national award winning students. Each of the 10 students will perform as soloists in piano concertos of works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Kabalevsky, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky, accompanied by ORCHESTRA TORONTO. The two pedagogues will also joint force in Two-Piano performances.

Performance Objective

Showcase the importance of classical music teaching through generations, and raising public awareness of the importance of classical music education.

Provide an exhibition platform for young musicians.

Present fine classical music to the general public.
